Duties include the traditional/comprehensive duties and tasks of a QC Inspector for a manufacturing shop. This includes:
· Reads and analyzes blueprints or engineering specifications to obtain product information, such as specified material, surface finish, and dimensions.
· Computes angles, radii, and other unspecified dimensions of work piece using algebra, geometry and trigonometry.
· Measures dimensions, such as length, height, distance and angles using standard and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, V-blocks, sine bars, calipers, dial indicators, angle plates, snap gauge, gauge blocks, height gage, level protractors, optical comparators, bore gages, ultrasonic equipment, profilometer, laser tracker, and ARM’s.
· Inspects first run parts, including fabrications and assemblies.
· Determine causes of measurement errors and recommend corrective actions.
· Signs off and date routers when operation is complete.
· Puts move tickets on parts when operation is complete designating next router step.
· Checks and fills in all inspection data on QC reports provided within router.
Other duties as assigned.
