Job Overview:
MUST HAVE 5 YEARS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HVAC Purchasing Agent to join our team. As a HVAC Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for procuring materials, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. Your role will be crucial in maintaining efficient production planning and ensuring the availability of necessary supplies. This position will also handle negotiating and securing construction rental equipment as well.
Duties:
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system to determine purchasing needs
- Collaborate with HVAC production planning team to ensure accurate forecasting of materials
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and terms for materials
- Place purchase orders and maintain accurate records of all transactions
- Coordinate logistics and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong relationships with vendors
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate reordering when necessary
- Analyze market trends and identify potential cost-saving opportunities
- Stay updated on industry developments and new sourcing options
- Data entry and reporting
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a HVAC Purchasing Agent.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable pricing and terms
- Proficient in procurement processes, logistics, and supply chain management
- Knowledge of production planning concepts
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a high pressure enviroment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
