FULL TIME RESPIRATORY THERAPY PROGRAM DIRECTOR RESPIRATORY THERAPY DEPARTMENT POSTING DATE: 4/25/2024 RESPONSIBILITIES: SMCC is seeking a full-time faculty person to teach both didactic, medical simulation, and support the clinical education of our students. Duties include teaching 12-15 credit hours or the equivalent each semester; develop, modify, and assess the effectiveness of curricula; continuous improvement in teaching methodology and student centered learning; stay current in field; advise and maintain scheduled availability to students; participate with other faculty in developing and managing online and face to face courses, curricula and academic policy; participate in department, interdepartmental and college activities; committee work, and college service, particularly activities that will enhance the academic life of the college, and other professional duties related to the position; and contribute to the success of the college. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Baccalaureate degree in related field. Master’s preferred Minimum of 4 years fulltime experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Hold or be eligible for a Maine State license Strong, recent critical care experience preferred PROJECTED START DATE: August, 2024 STARTING SALARY RANGE: $42,767 - $52,599 (plus additional pay with director stipend and opportunity for extended contract) BENEFITS: 100% employer paid health, dental and life insurance for employees (spouse/domestic partner/dependent coverage also available), vision insurance, choice between Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MPERS) and TIAA CREF in lieu of social security, sick/personal time allowances, professional development, and free tuition within the MCCS for employee/spouse/dependents.
