Southern Indiana ENT-LLC is Hiring an Assistant Practice Administrator Near Columbus, IN

ASSISTANT PRACTICE ADMINISTRATOR

As the Assistant Practice Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the Practice Administrator with managing the day-to-day operations for the multi-site healthcare practice; including but not limited to supervising personnel, developing, and enforcing policies and procedures and ensuring optimal patient care. Additionally, the Assistant Practice Administrator will support the physicians with clinical oversight. This role will report to the Medical Director and Corporate leadership.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES of the ASSISTANT PRACTICE ADMINISTRATOR

  • Ensures that all patients are treated in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Promotes and manages a consistently high standard of telephone and one-on-one conversations with patients.
  • Acts as a resource to physicians regarding operational aspects of the group.
  • Coordinates all clinical services, specifically to:

o Ensures all physicians have the necessary resources to provide optimal patient care.

o Ensures that the practice complies with OSHA and CLIA regulations and that there are current safety and infection control plans in force.

  • Maintains adequate levels of staffing for the practice and develops and updates job descriptions.
  • Evaluates performance continually and at established intervals at the direction and in conjunction with the corporate team and physician leadership for personnel.
  • Monitors that personnel practices comply with local, state and federal guidelines.
  • Facilitates staff development and team building.
  • Manages continuing education and compliance requirements for all team members.
  • Facilitates new and re-credentialing activities for the physicians with third party payers and health care entities.
  • Supports the practice billing function to ensure that provider documentation is timely and complete to support timely filing of clean claims.
  • Manages practice revenue and expense according to annual operating and capital budget, and keeps management informed of variances.
  • Participates in the development of the annual operating and capital budget for the practice.
  • Manages the facilities to ensure that they comply with codes/regulations and that they are conducive to a positive patient experience.
  • Ensures that all clinical equipment is operational and kept in a good state of repair with regular preventive maintenance.
  • Supervises the risk management processes to minimize risk.
  • Ensures that HIPAA policies are always followed.
  • Establishes and monitors effective & efficient patient flow processes.
  • Acts as practice liaison to the corporate management team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS of the ASSISTANT PRACTICE ADMINISTRATOR

  • College degree with one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and healthcare experience with a high focus on customer service.
  • 2 years of clinical administration or management specifically within healthcare.
  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY of the ASSISTANT PRACTICE ADMINISTRATOR

This position has direct supervisory responsibility over all non-clinical staff and indirect supervisory responsibility over clinical staff.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS of the ASSISTANT PRACTICE ADMINISTRATOR

  • Certified Physician Practice Manager (CPPM) and/or American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) preferred.
  • All employees are required to provide proof of vaccination or exemption.
