Southern Devall Towing Co is Hiring a Driver Near Sulphur, LA
The position is for a driver to take our crews when needed from our Sulphur La. facility to their crew change locations. These trips range from Mobile, Alabama, Florida, Memphis, and Texas, but will change sometimes.
- No history of DUI / DWI or any other significant driving issues.
- A TWIC card (Transportation Worker's Identification Credential)
- Is available 7 days a week 24/7 on call
- Is willing to work at odd hours
- We also have airport pickup and drop off trips and they are sometimes on the weekends.
- You will drive your vehicle to our facility, then use a company vehicle to drive the crew(s) to their location(s):
- You must be willing to wait to pick up crew members for emergencies at any given time.
- You should understand that the hours per week vary. One week may only be 36 hours, and the next as many as 60. Flexibility is key.
- You must be able to pass a medical screening
- Drug tests are given before hire and periodically at random after hire.
- Wednesday morning crew changes @ 3:00 am
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as a Driver
- A valid driver’s license
- A clean driving record
- Familiarity with GPS devices
- Ability to lift heavy packages
- Availability to take weekend and night shifts
- 24/7 on call
- A polite and professional disposition
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
- A high school diploma
