Southeastern Spine Institute is Hiring a Surgery Scheduler Near Mount Pleasant, SC
- Manages the surgery schedule and coordinates within the facilities.
- Responsible for the preoperative coordination of the surgical patient.
- Provides patient education sessions, reviewing appropriate protocols and expectations with the patient.
- Collects Patient medical history as well as identifies the patient’s needs within the facilities to then communicate this to the PA.
- Ensures all necessary paperwork is available to the facility staff in a timely manner basis.
- Assists in ensuring that the H&P is on the chart prior to the case.
- Coordinates and schedules all cases with the scheduling departments in the facilities.
- Procures necessary equipment for cases. Works closely with the equipment vendors to ensure proper equipment is available for all cases.
- Ensures that pre-certification is requested and sent out to be approved prior to surgery.
- Keeps records of all patients who are surgical candidates and assists them with scheduling surgery once clearances and approval is met.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 Years of relating experience.
- Full range of body motion, as well as manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination
- Involves standing, walking and normal visual acuity and hearing are required.
- Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Work under stressful conditions, may be asked to work at other locations, and work irregular hours.
