Outside Sales Representative

Looking for Outside sales professionals with talent in talking to new and existing customers and with knowledge in sales of construction supply industry. Apply to be part of our Midwest Sales team. We are a leading manufacturer of Bath Enclosures and Shower Doors for the Single Family, Multifamily, and Hospitality industry servicing the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean from manufacturing facilities in Florida (headquarters) and Indiana. We are looking for key sales team members to join us and build out the Midwest territory.

Position Description

The representative will be expanding company’s presence in the Midwest US territory by contacting existing and prospective clients in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. Due to travel requirements, representative should reside in Indiana or Ohio.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Traveling throughout portions of the Midwest will be necessary.
  • 60% travel required
  • Overnight travel required.
  • Shower door industry experience definitely A PLUS!
  • Minimum of 2 years sales experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of products in the building industry.
  • Proven customer service and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Be knowledgeable about the product
  • Present, promote and sell products/services to existing and prospective customers
  • Identify prospective customers, lead generation and conversion
  • Contact new and existing customers to discuss needs
  • Emphasize the features of products to highlight how they solve customer problems
  • Answer questions about the products
  • Collaborate with colleagues in many different sectors
  • Maintain customer contact lists and notes utilizing CRM
  • Submits orders by utilizing internal systems
  • Adjusts content of sales presentations to be appropriate for each situation
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, having an updated 90 Day Plan, and monthly and annual territory analyses
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating competitive landscape
  • Resolve customer issues by investigating issues
  • Maintains professional product and technical knowledge by being active on job sites and customer workshop visits
  • Involved with local builder associations
