JOB Diagnostic Program Coordinator Southeast Missouri State University Autism Center for Diagnosis and TreatmentFull time Duties and Responsibilities: Answer phone calls and advise or direct them appropriatelyProcess referrals and diagnostic intake paperwork and be a resource for families and referring providers inquiring about diagnostic process or evaluationsEnsure accurate completion of all intake paperwork prior to adding to diagnostic waitlistAccurately schedule appointments for diagnostic evaluations and medical follow-up at the CenterVerify patient information and update records Coordinate with billing specialist and office staff to address needs for both clients and diagnostic professional staff regarding appointment times and billingPrepare necessary documents in advance of diagnostic evaluation including requests for medical records and preparing paper chartMaintain the patient's electronic chart in electronic medical records system with accuracy and attention to detailGreet and check-in patients for diagnostic evaluations or medical follow-upCommunicate professionally with supervisors, families, and other professionals EXAMPLE OF DUTIES High School Diploma or GEDOne year of administrative experience working in a medical office setting a plusMust be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environmentStrong organizational skills with attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAble to lift at least 25 pounds, to sit on the floor, and to be physically activeAbility to pass a background checkAbility to communicate professionally to families and business partners/other agencies SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION About Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO): Founded in 1873 and accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, Southeast Missouri State University provides student-centered education and experiential learning with a foundation of liberal arts and sciences, embracing a tradition of access, exceptional teaching and commitment to student success that significantly contributes to the development of the region and beyond.
