Do you love working with youth? Are you looking to give back to the Southeast Asian community? Would you like to develop as an educator and community builder? The Southeast Asian Development Center (SEADC) is looking for a MYEEP Summer Program Assistant.
The MYEEP Summer Program Assistant, with guidance from the MYEEP Coordinator and Associate Director, will support the application, enrollment and orientation process for the 2024 summer cycle, lead a series of pre-employment and job/life skills workshops, develop worksites for youth placement and communicate directly with the worksite supervisor, offer individual support for program participants, and provide overall administrative and programmatic support.

The Youth Development Department’s goal is to prepare youth in grades kindergarten through high school to be college and work ready. The department’s programs include daily out of school time program activities for K-12 graders focusing on tutoring, homework support, life skills and enriching social/cultural activities, teen leadership development activities, career exploration, and job placements.
About MYEEP:
The Mayor’s Youth Employment and Education Program (MYEEP) is one of the largest youth employment programs in San Francisco, providing over 1000 high school-aged youth annually with subsidized employment and opportunities to explore, learn, and create paths. It includes a school-year and a summer strategy. MYEEP is a collaboration of 8 nonprofit agencies that utilizes a neighborhood-based approach to provide workforce development to program participants.
MYEEP is one of several employment programs, including SF YouthWorks, Project Pull, SF STEM Academy, that form JCYC Workhub which provide a continuum of employment opportunities and experiences to over 2000 young people annually. JCYC is a leading San Francisco nonprofit organization that cultivates the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of young people so that each can bring them to life. JCYC uses a multi-service strategy that provides opportunities to over 5,000 youth annually.
Position Title: MYEEP-OMIE Summer Program Assistant
Compensation: $21.00 per hour, non-exempt; temporary part time, up to 37.5 hours per week
Work Location: SEADC’s office is located in downtown San Francisco, convenient to BART and other public transit. This position will be working in-person at our Ellis Street office space.
