The South Shore Early Education Program of SSCAC Inc., a private non-profit, is seeking Support Staff at our Plymouth learning center.
POSITION: Support Staff Position 20-25 hours / 41 weeks
Core Responsibilities:
Support Staff Classroom Assistants to provide infants and toddlers with a nurturing, safe, and healthy environment to help them develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally in a manner appropriate to their age and stage of development in relationship to the overall goal of social competency.
Develop activities and opportunities in accordance with ACF/ Early Head Start Performance Standards. Involve parents in the educational aspects of the program to increase their knowledge and understanding of skills and experiences in child growth, education, and development, specifically with infants and toddlers.
Attend to the physical and environmental needs of the children to ensure their growth and well-being. Plan and implement all classroom activities that conduct the goals set forth in the Education Plan. Assist with maintaining a safe and healthy physical environment that fosters the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of Infants and Toddlers.
Perform teaching activities, while assuming a lead role in working with varying groups of children.
Meal assistance and other various activities as assigned.
Core Qualifications:
DEEC Teacher Preschool certification is preferred, although not required.
MA Driver’s license in good standing. Must be at least 18 yrs. of age.
Bi-lingual (Portuguese, Arabic, or Spanish) is preferred although not required.
All candidates must have a current medical certificate, current MMR Documentation, current TB test, statements of CORI/DSS Background check and fingerprinting, and a completed employment application prior to beginning employment.
Must submit proof of COVID-19 vaccine upon hire.
Retention Bonus:
Employee Retention bonus incentive available after 90 consecutive days of employment up to $500 (taxable).
