Position Summary:

This position will provide courteous, caring and professional customer service to the Residents and work diligently to achieve outstanding service with all tasks related to the dining hall.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparation of food and beverages as directed.
• Follow all kitchenware cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
• Arrive promptly for scheduled shifts following dress code.
• Provide courteous service to residents and address by name.
• Submit schedule changes for approval by supervisor.
• Replenish supplies and report shortages of items to supervisor.
• Complete daily posted cleaning assignments or as directed by supervisor.
• Follow all safety policies and report any unsafe conditions or concerns to supervisor.
• Attend required trainings.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to build relationships with staff and residents to ensure satisfaction.
• Capacity to work as a team player.
• Ability to be patient and friendly with demonstrated experience in problem solving.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude, remain calm and respond appropriately to stressful situations.
• Possess attention to detail and ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Education and Experience:

• High school or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience working in food service or in a customer service role desired.
• Food safety training a plus. (Serve Safe)

. Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Must be able to push a 50 lb. kitchen cart and lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion.

Hours: Part-Time, Flexible schedule, Monday through Friday, some Weekends and Holidays
