RN Supervisor - Residential Group Home
South Jersey Behavioral Health Resources (SJBHR) is seeking a qualified RN Supervisor for Camden group homes This position is full time with excellent benefits and paid time off.
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing or designee, the Registered Nurse Supervisor provides assigned consumers ongoing assessment of their psychiatric and medical condition, provides medication and medical education to consumers, families and other team members and supervises the LPN assigned to the group home.
Conducts a comprehensive nursing assessment for each consumer admitted to the assigned program and a follow up assessment every 90 days. Ensures all new consumers have an initial physical examination on admission and annually. Assess the ongoing medical needs of each consumer and, through the LPN, arranges for appropriate medical treatment and follow up.
Provides supervision to the LPN for scheduling and completing medical appointments, scheduling follow up appointments, diagnostics or lab studies. Supervises the LPN in the management of medication related documentation.
Perform an ongoing assessment of the consumers awareness and compliance with his/her prescribed medications and provide medication education to the consumer and others involved in the consumers treatment. SJBHR provides excellent benefits and generous paid time off.
Requirements:
Current License as a Professional Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey. CPR and First Aid Certification required upon hire. Valid Driver’s License required. Driver’s abstract must meet insurance carrier’s requirements. Experience in Group home setting is preferred.
