The Department of Nursing at USD invites applications for a full-time, twelve-month Simulation and Lab Coordinator located in Vermillion. Travel between Vermillion and Sioux Falls will be expected.

Responsibilities will include leading the faculty/staff teams in optimizing the simulation curriculum, managing simulation training and developing and maintaining plans for simulation activities. Strategic oversight of the lab and simulation center, including growth, program evaluation and quality improvement, as well as the operational needs of the simulation center/lab are necessary to ensure that all experiences meet national accreditation and state requirements. This position will also perform didactic and/or clinical teaching and assist with Interprofessional Education (IPE) activities.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in simulation curriculum development and evaluation, knowledge working with inter-professional health education competencies, and experience in simulation workflow processes and have a strong nursing background. Exceptional written and verbal skills, an ability to work well within a team, and a knowledge and passion for continuous quality improvement are essential.

The successful candidate will have a current unencumbered RN license, eligible for licensure in South Dakota, and hold a minimum of master’s degree in nursing from a nationally accredited program. Salary and rank will be based on experience and credentials.
