Looking for a career with opportunities to grow? SDSU Facilities and Services department is currently seeking an individual to join our team as an HVAC Maintenance Worker.

Contribute as a valued team member while learning the trade!

Job Responsibilities : This position will perform planned preventative and routine maintenance on hydronic systems and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment in order to prevent premature failures and to help identify small problems before they become larger.

This position will also have opportunities to assist certified HVAC Technicians with repairs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Knowledge of

  • Basic mechanical systems
  • Hand and power tools
  • Computers

Skill & Ability to :

  • Work well with others in a team environment or independently.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Lift or move or transport equipment, tools, materials, or parts that could weigh between 30 pounds to 300 pounds either mechanically or with human assistance.

Routine daily work requires lifting and carrying equipment, materials, tools, and parts weighing over 50 pounds. These must be moved in and out of units and up onto roofs.

Required License : Valid Driver's License

Comments : This position is classified as a Senior Building Maintenance Worker. SDSU is a tobacco free environment.
