South Central Behavioral Services (SCBS) currently has an opening for a full-time Foster Care Resource Developer in our Children Services program in the Hastings/Kearney area. Our Children Services program provides Foster Care Services in licensed foster homes, kinship homes, or relative homes. Our Foster Care Resource Developer is responsible for the following activities: recruitment, retention, and training of foster parents to care for children and youth entering foster care system, assessing foster care referrals for youth requiring out of home care, certifying and licensing of foster homes which includes the home study process, completing licensing renewals, and document in a licensing portal system.
The ideal candidate must have knowledge of child development, crisis intervention and family dynamics. Effective writing and verbal communication skills and computer skills would also be a requirement. The starting compensation for this position is $40,000-$42,000 annually, which includes bonuses based on productivity and performance. A hiring bonus of $2500 is available after 6 months of successful employment. Starting wage is contingent upon education and experience. A Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services related field is required. SCBS offers an excellent benefit package including health, dental and life insurance and paid time off.
