South Central Behavioral Services (SCBS) currently has an opening for a Direct Care Staff Community Support Worker in our Rehabilitation Program in Hastings, NE. A Direct Care Staff Community Support Worker is someone who helps individuals with mental illness be successful living independently and assists individuals with substance use disorders to reach their recovery goals. Community Support workers meet with clients in their homes or in the community to help clients develop and meet their individual treatment goals while providing assistance with finding and accessing community resources. They participate in treatment team meetings to discuss and address the ongoing needs of the clients and are also responsible for completing daily documentation in our electronic health record. The starting annual salary range for this position is $38,000 to $42,000, which includes bonuses based on productivity and performance. A hiring bonus of $2500 is available after 6 months of successful employment. Starting wage is contingent upon education and experience. A bachelor’s degree in human services is preferred, but we will consider individuals with experience in the field.
