Job title: Superintendent - Commercial Construction

The Superintendent holds the overarching responsibility for overseeing the entirety of a construction project, from its initial planning and budgeting stages to its execution and ultimate completion. It is the Superintendent's duty to ensure that the project meets its deadlines, stays within budget constraints, and adheres to the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

• Uphold safety standards by overseeing safety planning, implementation, and documentation throughout the assigned project.
• Manage project planning, formulate and execute pre-job plans, and determine the construction methodologies to be employed.
• Develop and upkeep the Site Utilization Plan.
• Oversee the preparation of the Critical Path Method (CPM) baseline, monthly updates, and narratives, as well as CPM fragments detailing changes and delays.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to assess equipment requirements.
• Scrutinize monthly subcontractor payment applications to ensure alignment with actual work completed.
• Expedite vendors and subcontractors regularly, addressing and resolving construction issues as they arise to maintain project timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of timekeeping and costs.
• Thoroughly review weekly labor reports and monthly total job cost reports to identify areas requiring attention and implement necessary changes to align with budgetary constraints.
• Oversee the implementation of the Quality Control Program.
• Fulfill all jobsite reporting obligations, including daily reports, safety observation reports (SOS), weekly unit reports, and updates to construction schedules.
• Ensure a clean and organized worksite environment.
• Address and mitigate potential subcontractor change orders and back-charges that could impact project profitability, documenting them as required.
• Facilitate the project's closure in accordance with contractual agreements.
• Maintain consistent attendance at the worksite.
• Perform other duties as necessary and assigned.

• Actively participate in the onboarding and training of new team members for the project.
• Conduct and facilitate important discussions regarding employee performance and development for direct reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in commercial construction.
• Demonstrated strong leadership and management capabilities.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on projects exceeding $25 million.

Perks:

• 130k - 150k per year depending on experience. If you are a Senior Superintendent the salary will be higher.
• Relocation package of 10k
