Source Energy is Hiring a HSE Representative Near Blair, WI

Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Representative Responsibilities:

  • Everyone is responsible for their own health and safety, environmental stewardship and the quality of products and services, while performing their duties at Source Energy Services.
  • Follow all polices, standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and rules at SES locations
  • Participate in the HSE program. This includes being engaged in the ImpACT reporting program
  • Attend safety meetings as required.
  • Ensure a full understanding of the hazards and risks within the role and follow the required control measures, including using the correct PPE at all times.
  • Ensure the assigned competencies, company and HSE training is completed and up to date.
  • Stop tasks when the steps are unclear, competency levels are inadequate, or the risks are unknown. Utilize rapid ID cards to help manage risk and make informed decisions.
  • Ask your supervisor for clarification whenever instructions, tasks or risk is not understood.
  • Comply with the Short Service Employee and competency programs. This is to ensure that employees are working within their capabilities and defined roles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Mining Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) rules and regulations.
  • Ensures EH&S policies and operating practices comply with MSHA regulations.
  • Ensures proper documentation and record keeping for EHS department.
  • Conducts safety training or education programs and demonstrates the use of safety equipment.
  • Reviews, updates, and revises safety items and develops training materials to implement.
  • Inspects facilities to ensure they comply with MSHA regulations and company policies.
  • Conducts/coordinates accident investigations, with particular attention given to the identification of root cause and effective corrective actions.
  • Prepares reports and analyses of industrial accident causes and hazards to health for use by company personnel.
  • Conducts regular site inspections to ensure compliance with all relevant EHS regulations, laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Serves as a contact in the event of any serious incidents at company locations.
  • Assists EHS Manager in performing safety audits.
  • Promote a positive company image during the course and scope of the performance of these duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions (wet, hot, cold, dusty, windy, dry, etc). The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles (able to be fit to wear a respirator in required areas), extreme cold, extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
