Description
The Financial Analyst provides planning, analysis, and decision-making support to the business. The Financial Analyst will also provide support for month end close and general accounting activities.
Essential Job Functions
Demonstrates SoundOff Signal’s Core Values in daily interactions with internal and external customers
Sales/Marketing Support
Support Sales budgeting and forecasting by SBU/Market
Analytics for Sales team
Cost Center budgeting and monitoring monthly to plan
Works with Product Management to support competitive pricing strategic analysis
Calculate sales commissions
Maintain financial aspects of vehicle fleet
Month-end close and general accounting activities
Prepare journal entries with supporting backup
Prepare account reconciliation
Continuous improvement in month end close process
Maintain fixed asset inventory
Maintain lease schedule
Support A/R and A/P as needed
Outstanding communication skills are essential for success in this position!
Able to perform job consistently without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Four-year college degree in Business or Finance. A Technical education, such as Engineering or Program Management, will also be considered
Advanced degree such as an MBA or professional accreditation (CPA, CMA) is preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience related to financial analysis in a manufacturing environment.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Proven excellence in financial skills
Proven ability to influence/teach/coach team members and leaders
Vehicle OEM experience is a plus
Proven teamwork skills
Understanding of ERP and financial reporting systems
Prophix experience a plus
Sales Force experience is a plus
Working Conditions
Mostly office environment, occasional light manufacturing environment
Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Low noise level in a temperature-controlled setting
Some level of domestic and/or international travel may be required
May work remotely
Mostly normal business hours with occasional need to flex hours
