An IT Operations Manager to join our team! As the IT Operations Manager you will manage team members within the IT Operations department. You will oversee and manage enterprise-level systems and IT operational activities. In this role, you will oversee the strategic planning, procurement, implementation, protocols, and management of enterprise-level Information Technology solutions used by Sound Credit Union and the associated IT operational activities. The IT Operations Manager position requires a strategic and forward-thinking leader to support the Sound Credit Union IT department by looking to the future and actively seeking robust enterprise solutions, both cloud and on-premises architecture, and the rollout of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) to enhance service delivery, minimize manual tasks, and continue our focus to implement the right tools and solutions to provide secure and accurate benefits to our members. In this position you will collaborate closely with IT and business stakeholders, IT leadership, and other leaders across the Credit Union.

As an IT Operations Manager you will...
  • Oversee the daily operations of the IT Operations department to ensure the functionality, availability, and security of SCU IT systems, data, backups, and communications; troubleshoot and remediate issues that arise.
  • Partner with SCU Information Security to implement and operationalize security controls.
  • Assist in developing and managing annual IT budgets and procuring IT equipment and professional services per SCU Procurement and Contracting Policy.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the systems and services are current, reliable, tuned, and accessible in accordance with service level agreements, establish governance, and assist business users in leveraging the technology.
  • Manage organization expectations regarding the success of Enterprise Application strategies and projects; ensure measurable outcomes are defined and reported for each strategy or project.
  • Manage IT vendors, contracts and service level agreements and perform vendor risk assessments.
  • Identify and manage operational risks.
  • Manage information technology projects.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources, timetables, budgets, and reporting to project stakeholders.
  • Develop department policies, processes, and procedures documentation and assist in providing internal training to the department and impacted end users.
  • Ensure compliance with department and organizational policies.
  • Certify business continuity and disaster recovery efforts of SCU IT Systems.
  • Participate in internal and external audits; oversee and coordinate responses to audit requests.
  • Manage department team members, including performance and training assessments. Assist in the development of IT staffing plans and professional growth.
  • Align IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and strategic goals.
  • Evaluate and assess strategic solutions that leverage new and emerging technologies that drive process automation and improve organization effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Manage IT department services and prepare management reports of department activities, tasks, and operational metrics.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continued education, online/in-person training, attendance of educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, networking, and participation in professional industry groups
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will bring to the team...
  • 10 or more years of infrastructure experience including networking, servers, virtualization, endpoint management and cloud implementation and enterprise applications.
  • At least five years of management experience leading an information technology team.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • A bachelor's degree in information technology, a similar field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Your compensation:
At Sound Credit Union we believe in paying our employees a fair and living wage. Individual offers are made dependent upon a candidate's prior experience and education level as it pertains to their role. This strategy promotes a talented and empowering work environment that we hope you will be a part of! Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates, which allows us to offer merit-based salary increases.
Minimum: $124,000.00
Midpoint: $155,000.00
Maximum: $186,000.00
Your hours:
A hybrid schedule Monday - Friday: 8 am - 5 pm
In your role you will have the ability to combine in-person and remote work.
