About The FirmOur client is a family office and the sponsor of a lower middle-market focused Private Equity firm with over $1.35B realizations. They are based in Wayne, PA. The family office also backs other independent sponsors as LPs and invests in a wide range of opportunities including real estate, private equity, healthcare, and secondary investments.
70% of their investments are with the Private Equity firm-related private funds and the rest is distributed throughout their additional investments. They are industry agnostic.
About The RoleOur client is seeking an Associate who will be a key part of the investment and advisory team within a family office that shares an office space with a Private Equity firm. The Associate will gain experience in virtually all aspects of the business. This is a newly created position.The ideal candidate will have a Transaction Advisory background and/or comfortability with financial analysis.Key Responsibilities

- Work closely with investment team VPs on all aspects of the investment life cycle including due diligence of new deal opportunities, portfolio valuation, and overall maintaining the portfolio.
- Building and maintaining relationships with operating partners and outside deal sources.
- Assist with the analytical side of due diligence and portfolio maintenance.
- Perform ad hoc financial analyses of investments.
- Assist senior team with preparing investment committee memoranda and materials.
- Attend investment pitches and investor presentations, conduct independent analysis, and write summaries.
- Financial modeling including waterfall modeling and P&L reports, DCF, and liquidation reports.
- 1-3 years of experience in transaction advisory services, investment banking, private equity, family office, or comparable financial services experience.
- Bachelor’s degree from an undergraduate institution with a record of academic achievement required.
- Strong financial acumen and modeling experience
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Independent-minded with an entrepreneurial nature.
- Strong interest in financial markets.
- Ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail must be a strength.
- Strong financial modeling/valuation and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- In office 3 days per week
- Good work/life balance
- Salary starting at $75,00 bonus (no carry)
- Two-year position with the potential to be hired permanently
