Job Description
Title: CASHIER / FOOD RUNNER
Reports to: Restaurant Manager
Summary of Position:
Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests & employees by adhering to restaurant ser- vice practices. Receive process and package orders to be picked up by guests.
Duties & Responsibilities:
▪ Must be committed to safe practices as outlines by the CDC. Use of face mask as man- dated by local government.
▪ Drive the Guest to place orders / create reservations through our website at www.souldecuba.com.
▪ Answer phone calls and accept orders through our third party vendors.
▪ Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.
▪ Assist Guests with ordering system as needed to ensure guest satisfaction and efficiency of operations.
▪ Prepare beverages garnishes for and prepare juices / and an array of alcoholic beverages to sell with food.
▪ Check ID for all Alcohol purchases. No valid ID, No Order. Alcohol must be sold with food.
▪ Maintain clean service areas. Sanitizing hard surfaces every 30 mins.
▪ Food runner, as orders are prepared deliver to the correct table as indicated on guest receipt.
▪ Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable).
▪ Set up and break down of area: Ice Cooling Plate / Prep Limes & Mint / Restock Juices,
Coffee, Sodas, Beer & Wines, Carry out supplies.
▪ Maintain Cuban Coffee ready to prepare.
▪ Update Chalk Board for Menu as items sell out.
▪ Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
Qualifications:
▪ Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
▪ Be ready to accept responsibility for caring for the health of our guests / employees by always adhering to safe business practices.
▪ Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
▪ Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
▪ Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
▪ Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
Hourly Wage: $ 15 - $18/HR
