Sorbent Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager for an immediate, full-time opening. If you have familiarity and experience with warehousing, shipping, and receiving, coupled with a good work ethic, this is the position for you! Bring a willingness to learn and we will provide you with the training.
Sorbent Technologies is an innovative specialty chemical company, supplying laboratory products to universities, industry (pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical), and government laboratories. We have been in business for 24 years and are known in our industry for our excellent customer service and quality products that have been instrumental in drug discovery and other scientific advancements.
Assistant Warehouse Manager’s responsibilities include:
- Shipping/Receiving
- Order Picking - Picking products from shelves to fill sales orders
- Assist with loading and off-loading of all deliveries
- Check-in products received from incoming deliveries
- Prepare UPS or Fedex labels for outgoing orders
- Communicate/prepare documents for international shipments with freight forwarders
- Production: Labeling boxes, cartons, bottles, and drums pertaining to production
- Shrink wrapping and packing products
- Filling bottles with a tared scale to insure correct portion control
- General housekeeping, building maintenance, and landscaping tasks
- Maintain clean work areas
- Oversee equipment maintenance needs
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of Fishbowl Inventory, UPS Worldship, and Microsoft Office Suite a plus
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Chemical handling knowledge a plus
