A Day in the Life of a Heavy Equipment Shop Foreman :
Compensation : $41.81 - $55.65 / hour DOE
The Shop Foreman is a hands-on position and will oversee all shop technicians and shop safety performance.
Providing quality repairs on Construction Equipment in both shop and field environments :
- Engines
- Transmissions
- Hydraulic Systems
- Electrical
- Structural repairs including welding
- Diagnosing & troubleshooting equipment
- Must be able to work on their own and require no supervision
- Must be able to follow established Original Equipment Manufacturing procedures and guidelines
- Must demonstrate safe and proper application of hand, pneumatic, and electric tools
- Manage and ensure our customer’s equipment meets or exceeds DOT and OSHA specifications
- Responsibilities include diagnosis, repair, preventative maintenance, supervising shop mechanics, and enforcing company policies and procedures
- Comply with all road signs and operate vehicles within their limits and weather environment
- Follow all Auto and Equipment Safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments
- Perform miscellaneous-related duties as required and assigned by the manager
