Songwriters Texas, LLC is Hiring a General Manager Near Giddings, TX

We are seeking a dynamic General Manager (GM) who thrives in a vibrant, high-energy environment. This role is crucial for someone who is passionate about driving business growth, enhancing customer satisfaction, and leading a team towards excellence. The ideal candidate will oversee all operational aspects of the business, including staff recruitment and development, inventory management, event planning, adherence to quality and safety standards, and financial oversight. The GM will play a key role in shaping the establishment's atmosphere, ensuring a memorable experience for patrons through superior service and product offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily business operations, including maintaining necessary licenses, negotiating with suppliers, inventory management, financial planning, and goal setting.
Recruit, train, and manage staff to deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring the bar is adequately staffed during busy times.
Develop and implement staff schedules, resolve scheduling conflicts efficiently.
Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, conduct regular staff evaluations, and provide coaching.
Manage all legal and regulatory documentation, ensuring the business complies with current laws.
Foster a positive work environment for a diverse team, effectively manage customer and staff interactions to maintain a harmonious atmosphere.
Organize and participate in promotional activities to enhance business visibility and patronage.
Handle difficult situations with patrons or staff decisively to maintain a safe, enjoyable environment.
Document and report any staff issues to senior management and relevant departments as necessary.
Commit to creating and maintaining a fun, secure setting for both patrons and employees.
Compensation:
Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and aligned with industry standards.
Position Requirements:
Minimum high school diploma; higher education or additional qualifications in business management preferred.
At least 3 years of management experience in the restaurant/bar industry.
Proficient understanding of business and financial principles.
Strong computer literacy, problem-solving capabilities, and customer service orientation.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage diverse personalities.
Proven ability to handle tense situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
Availability to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Demonstrated ability to delegate tasks and utilize resources efficiently.
Physical ability to navigate a fast-paced environment, including moving, standing, and occasionally lifting heavy objects.
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
Current certification from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) or equivalent as applicable.
