Job Summary

The Part Time Resident Assistant will be responsible for providing assistance and support to residents in a senior living community. This position will work under the direction of the Director of Resident Services and will be responsible for ensuring that residents receive the highest level of care and attention.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Provide medication reminders and assistance with medication administration
• Assist with meal preparation and serving
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
• Assist with housekeeping and laundry tasks
• Document resident care and observations in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Communicate with residents, families, and staff in a professional and courteous manner
• Participate in training and educational programs as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with seniors preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

Working Conditions

This position will require working in a senior living community, which may include exposure to unpleasant odors, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases. The Part Time Resident Assistant may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
