We meet immediate needs with food, clothing, and healthcare and offer the tools one needs to live with hope, dignity, and greater independence.
Position Description: The primary responsibility of the Leasing Manager is to support the property management and intake teams in achieving occupancy targets for SOME. This role entails overseeing leasing applications from prospective tenants in adherence to tax credit, HUD, and DCHA regulations. Collaboration with property, facilities, intake, and turnover teams is essential to ensure unit readiness.
The Leasing Manager is tasked with coordinating unit viewings, scheduling move-ins, and maintaining a keen eye for detail. Compassion and a commitment to enhancing the supportive housing community are vital qualities sought in the ideal candidate. Strong leasing background, exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills are prerequisites for this role, fostering a positive living environment for residents. Building and nurturing positive relationships with various departments and communicating effectively in a professional manner are also key aspects of the position.
Required: High School Diploma, at least 3 years of experience, must be able to obtain the Tax Credit Certification within one year of employment (Certification will be sponsored by organization)
Preferred: Associates or Bachelor's degree; National Apartment leasing Professional (NALP) certification
Required License/Certification: Tax Credit Certification (within one year of employment; certification will be sponsored by organization)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; (40 hours per week)

Position Designation: This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. You may be subject to drug testing prior to or during your employment with SOME. In this position, you may be disqualified from employment based on the presence of marijuana in test results, even if you possess a medical card authorizing the use of medical marijuana.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds. Requires looking at a computer screen for several hours a day. May be required to sit for long periods.
