Our team members are knowledgeable “go-to” resources for power transmission products, support, and advice that keeps our customers’ businesses moving forward.POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Vice President of Global Supply Chain will be responsible for leading all aspects of our supply chain including demand and supply planning, purchasing, our S&OP process, customs clearance, logistics/transportation (both ocean and domestic ground) and working tightly with our sourcing team in Asia and other parts of the globe. This includes collaborating with the Sales and Engineering Teams on factory selection and product sourcing. The ideal candidate must have a proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with senior leaders, excellent verbal, presentation, and written skills, and the ability to plan and lead negotiations.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build and lead new demand and supply planning functions within the organization. Create reporting and processes to support a robust S&OP process that brings together Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain organizations
Lead the procurement function – driving industry leading inventory management practices and results, in an industry that thrives in providing long-tail inventory fulfillment
Champion new systems/tools to improve our overall inventory management capabilities
Achieve major objectives/KPI’s, which will be tied to in-stock rates and driving a productive inventory
Lead all aspects of logistics, including international customs and ocean shipping agreements, and domestic FTL/LTL/Parcel shipping contracts and processes
Collaborate with the Sales team to develop model stock inventory at all locations and implement replenishment strategies to achieve goals
Work with our Asia sourcing organization to identify manufacturing cost savings opportunities across all product categories and suppliers
Lead the development of innovative concepts to improve costs, and time-to-market; including working with our Asia packing facilities to develop cost effective packing strategies
Collaborate and build relationships with both internal business partners (Finance, Operations, Sales, etc.) and external partners (customers, factories, freight forwarders, 3PL packing facilities, etc.) to establish both short and long-term business objectives
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
10 years of experience in a Supply Chain leadership role; including responsibilities, such as: purchasing, supply & demand planning, logistics and inventory management for a multi-site network
Adept at using analytical tools to summarize data and make insightful recommendations to support business decisions
Experience with sourcing in Asia and international ocean transportation
This position requires 20% travel, both domestic and international, and requires a valid US Passport
Proficient with MS Office, fluency in MS Office, and advanced Excel knowledge
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MBA, Masters, or advanced degree
Global/International team management
Sourcing knowledge across the power transmission space – bearings, sheaves, couplings, chains, etc
Experience with Epicor P21 and Power BI
