JOB DESCRIPTION

Production Technician

Position Title: Production Technician

Department: Production

Position Reports To: Production Supervisor

Status: Hourly (Non-Exempt)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Production Technician I gathers and combines raw and/or base materials to produce and package products for distribution.

ATTENDANCE: Regular and punctual attendance is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Prepares and assembles materials to create or package the finished product.
  • Operates production equipment.
  • Operates a forklift, including a stand-up forklift as required.
  • Maintains a clean and safe manufacturing environment, reduces dust and waste wherever possible.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attends and actively participates in education opportunities appropriate to responsibilities, such as, in-service training sessions and facility meetings, safety meetings, particularly, identifying risks to safety and reducing incidents, teaches knowledge of emergency and disaster procedures of the facility.
  • Always demonstrates honesty and integrity.
  • Demonstrates respect for co-workers and promotes company philosophy, mission, and values.
  • Complies with company policies.
  • Promotes a positive culture and maintains accountability.
  • Uses safety/personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for the location/situation and participates in company safety program by identifying risks and reducing incidents.
  • Maintains excellent working relationships with co-workers, and other related facilities and companies as appropriate.
  • Carries out essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
