Description
Mel-O-Cream Donuts is in institution in Springfield, having been in business since 1932. While our roots are in the donut shop, today we are supplying bakeries throughout the Mid-West from our manufacturing plant on Springfield’s west side. Like so many businesses, we have been challenged to find the right people to staff our facility.
What do we do? We make donuts. This involves mixing dough, processing, cutting, shaping, and forming donuts. Some products are filled, glazed, or iced. This is done in a 30,000 square foot manufacturing area. While working in our production department, can seem hectic, there are those out there who thrive on being on their feet and working in a fast-paced environment, then this opportunity may be for you. Main Duties/Responsibilities:
The Production Technician is responsible for working on the production line in various positions. This position is responsible for preparing sponges, doughs, or batters, and may work on make-up bench or machine making up raw dough products. This position also includes these duties line monitoring, sanitation, packaging and handling and storage of packaged products.
This position may do the work of a Donut Finisher or Sanitarian at the facility.
