Job Description:
The Neuro OR Registered Nurse (RN) will play a crucial role in providing care and support for patients undergoing neurosurgeries. This position requires availability for emergency neurosurgeries during the night shift. When not engaged in surgeries, the RN will be responsible for tasks within the OR, including setting up rooms for morning procedures.
Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and support to patients undergoing neurosurgeries.
• Be available for emergency neurosurgeries during the night shift.
• Assist in setting up OR rooms for morning procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and condition before, during, and after surgeries.
• Operate and maintain specialized equipment used in neurosurgical procedures, such as bovies, SCDs (Sequential Compression Devices), microscopes, and robotics.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license in the state of Kentucky.
• Minimum of [X] years of experience in perioperative nursing, preferably in a neurosurgery setting.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of neurosurgical procedures and equipment.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
• Flexibility to work night shifts and be available for emergency surgeries.
