13-Week Interim Pharmacy Leadership. Tulsa, OK. As a vital part of our commitment to patient care, we are seeking an Interim Pharmacy Manager / Director to lead a pharmacy team at an esteemed Oklahoma Community Hospital.
This specialty hospital provides critical care for chronic, critically ill, and medically complex patients, and our clinicians are integral to the recovery process.
SUMMARY :
The Interim Pharmacy Director serves as the Pharmacist in Charge, reporting to the Market Director of Pharmacy. This role oversees daily departmental activities and staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, quality assurance, performance improvement, and effective workflows.
Additionally, the Interim Pharmacy Director functions as a pharmacist, providing dispensing and clinical services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Supervise professional, technical, and clerical staff, ensuring effective job performance.
- Lead hiring, orientation, and training of department staff.
- Maintain adequate staffing levels and productivity, including on-call rotations.
- Conduct evaluations, recognition, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, state laws, and department policies.
- Foster teamwork within the department and multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in hospital quality improvement committees.
- Provide drug procurement, distribution, preparation, and clinical monitoring.
- Review prescribed drug therapy for appropriateness and safety.
- Collect and analyze data for quality assurance and performance improvement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- B.S. or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- Active / clear Oklahoma Pharmacist licensure
- Minimum of 2 years recent hospital pharmacy leadership experience
