Responsibilities of the Property Accountant: As a Property Accountant, you will:
- Perform full-cycle accounting for 8-10 properties, including AP, AR, financial statements, rental payments, leases, and month-end reconciliations.
- Demonstrate expertise in property accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the Senior Accounting Manager at our Cherry Creek office on a 100% in-office schedule.
- Be responsible for GL entries and maintaining a high level of accuracy in all financial transactions.
- Enjoy a collaborative team environment, contributing to the growth of our real estate organization.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and adhere to corporate accounting, month-end close, and investor reporting deadlines.
- Collaborate with acquisition and strategic operations teams to support company goals and objectives.
Requirements for Property Accountant Applicants: To thrive as a Property Accountant, you should have:
- A Bachelor's in Business with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance.
- Three to five years of prior experience in general ledger and financial reporting.
- Proven property management industry experience.
- Technical skills and experience, with SAP knowledge being a plus.
