This individual will contribute within a tight knit team of professionals who are enabled and empowered to thrive in an environment that upholds accountability, excellence, collaboration, and innovation with custom solutions tailored to meet our customer’s needs. The Service Sales Department supports Solar Alternatives' businesses in uncovering, nurturing, and closing sales opportunities. The Service Sales team focuses their highly skilled efforts in securing relationships with qualified targets and decision makers to uncover opportunities, develop effective sales strategies, manage the pursuit process and act as a key advisor to the pursuit team throughout the sales process.

This is a non-exempt position.

This is a Level B position that reports to the Service Sales Supervisor.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Manage inbound service requests to deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Capture all useful information pertinent to client needs
  • Create estimates and convert inbound service opportunities to approved work, ready to be scheduled
  • Support development of service sales processes, support, and guidelines for other members of service team
  • Serve as technical support for service sales team related to estimates and warranty tickets
  • Provide high quality support to clients regarding technical requests
  • Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices codes.
  • Seek out new technologies, products, and services to identify client solutions
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales goals

Requirements

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent communication skills - Persuasive & Friendly (Retail experience a PLUS)
  • Customer service or retail sales experience - Don't take NO for an answer!
  • A self-motivated entrepreneurial mindset that is proactive and driven to win
  • Organized and goal-minded with phone calls and email
  • Set appointments with potential to turn into sales
  • Keep lead data organized and updated in company CRM tool
  • Initiate and support sales process for the rest of the team
  • Consistent work schedule and availability
  • Stay sharp, professional, and bright eyed with all prospects
