We are currently looking for a PAYROLL SPECIALIST to join our team.

POSITION SUMMARY: Assure the timely and accurate collection and biweekly processing of payroll data for 150-200 employees.

STATEMENT OF REQUIRED DUTIES and responsibilities performed on a regular and continuous basis. It does not exclude other duties as assigned:

• Collect timeclock data, review and maintain timecards, prepare payroll data, process full-cycle payroll, and prepare manual payroll checks

• Maintain HR/payroll employee records, including new hires, leaves and terminations

• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll

• Research and respond to verifications of employment; report to external agencies/vendors

• Participate in payroll process improvement

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum two years of experience in a payroll role

• Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Office

• Knowledge of California payroll protocols and laws to ensure compliance to local/federal regulations

• General knowledge of all clerical tasks such as answering phones, mail, filing, etc.

• Associates degree preferred

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and speak up for help when needed

• A real interest in creating calm from chaos and being okay without your tasks being described in a how-to manual

• The desire to ensure things in your care are managed efficiently and effectively

BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION

The position is part time or full-time with an excellent compensation package. Full time position includes paid time off, medical/dental plan, and a 401k retirement plan with generous company matching.
