SOFT's client located in New York, NY ( Hybrid ) is looking for a Data Modeler - Databricks for a long term contract assignment.

HM notes:

Domain knowledge, Fixed income or Trading platform AND and Data Modeling, not development or coding role, would take a Data Architect willing to do modeling with the Fixed Income or trading type experience, ER Studio which was acquired is a nice to have ( Ideara now ) . Strong comms . . . Trading life cycle is really the domain knowledge. auctions, trading, clearing is initial focus . . . NYC Metro, 2 days per week - . . . DataBricks not required, nice to have. Really ER Studio is required.

Seeking a Data Modeler who will be responsible for leading the data modeling efforts in support of a key transformation program. We are looking for someone who has a background in Fixed Income Trading applications and can model the various domain entities for the entire trading lifecycle as well as the analytical use cases.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in data modeling.
Strong proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques.
Proficiency in database management systems
Experience with Databricks is a plus
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Certifications in data modeling or related fields are a plus.

Responsibilities include:
Work with product owners, architects and developers to build logical and physical data models for the new trading applications
Introduce best practices for working in the Embarcadero suite of products
Adhere to naming standards and maintain the data dictionary
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide solutions.
Design and implement data warehouses, databases, and data lakes.
Ensure data models are scalable, efficient, and meet performance requirements.
Optimize and tune data models for maximum efficiency and speed.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $54.77 - $65.96 per hour
