Job Description:
Sodrel Truck Lines is looking for a Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our team at our Jeffersonville location.
This position will work closely with the Director of Operations to ensure that driver positions are filled with qualified drivers and that relevant trainings, safety procedures, and documentation are completed in compliance with Sodrel Truck Lines and DOT regulations.
The Safety and Compliance Specialist will work primarily out of the Jeffersonville terminal, with occasional travel to other locations in the region (Lexington, St Louis, Evansville, Cincinnati).
The pay range for this position is $25 - $27 / hour
Main Responsibilities:

• Interviewing prospective drivers and determine eligibility to drive for Sodrel Truck Lines.
• Conduct new hire driver orientation.
• Coordinate all new hire HR documentation with HR department and Driver Qualification for compliance department.
• Complete and monitor ongoing recertifications and related OSHA training.
• Monitor and prevent DOT and CDL expiration.
• Ensure all safety and compliance measures are met.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to perform new hire training, ongoing trainings and recertifications, and OSHA related training
• Excellent verbal and electronic communication skills
• Valid CDL (preferred but optional)
• Knowledge of Hours-of-Service Regulations (preferred)
• Knowledge of electronic logs, operations, and regulations (preferred)
