Responsibilities:

The Athletic Fueling Stations Operations Manager will assist in the planning, development, implementation, evaluation and management of the fueling and food services provided to student-athletes representing Olympic Sports teams. The Fueling Stations Operations Manager will work in collaboration with current Performance Nutrition staff, Sports Medicine staff, and interns to ensure day-to-day operations of the Acosta Fueling Station, including but not limited to inventory management of all food and beverage products, scheduling, receiving deliveries, placing orders, and budgeting. The incumbent will be required to work daily shifts within the Fueling Station.

Primary responsibilities include: managing inventory and procurement for all 15 fueling stations across campus; oversee stocking the Athletic Fueling Stations at football (Moncrief), basketball (BBR), baseball, softball, tennis, swimming, track, and in B2 of DKR stadium, including budgeting, inventory, ordering, scheduling, receiving and distribution; collaborating with TANC Dietitian and Sports Performance Dietitians and interns on best fueling practices; as well as some training and supervising of student interns and/or workers. Must possess the ability to adhere to and comply with Sodexo, University, NCAA, and SEC rules and regulations.

This is not a Registered Dietitian (RD) position and candidates will not be providing nutrition education or counseling to student-athletes. Prior nutrition education or RD experience is not required.

• Oversee receiving inventory at central receiving and organizing distribution to fuel stations across campus
• Coordinate oversight of fueling stations, including inventory management, order placement, deliveries, and maintenance of equipment
• Assist Sports Nutrition staff with student worker recruiting and onboarding.
• Effective communication with dietitians on inventory, intern availability, ordering needs and any duties related to management of the fueling stations
• Inspection of each fueling station for expired product
• Lead scheduling and training of employees, student-workers, and interns.
• Ensure daily completion of tasks including stocking and production lists
• Oversee cleaning and sanitation initiatives and compliance
• Lead ordering, planning, and communication
• Document and track expenses in a timely and organized manner; Provide regular updates regarding budget and expenses

Qualifications:

• Effective leader with strong communication and organizational skills
• Able to work flexible hours, including early morning, evening, and weekend
• Heavy lifting is involved
• Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
• GED/High School Diploma required; College Degree preferred
• ServSafe Food Service Manager Certificate, or certification within 30 days of hire
• 3 years' experience in a food service environment; Prior experience in the collegiate setting is desirable
• Thorough understanding of food safety, procurement, and inventory standards of practice
• Demonstrated compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and NCAA rules and regulations
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, colleagues, professionals, and administrators
• Skill at working as part of a team
• Skill at managing shifting priorities and changing pace of workload
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with culturally diverse students and staff
• Knowledge of and ability to use various computer programs, email, and the Internet.
• Proficiency in budgeting, Microsoft Office Suite, Apple iPads, and record keeping
• Skill at working independently and following through on projects with minimal direction
• Ability to stand on feet for several hours at a time; Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 50 lbs.
• Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours/week, including some nontraditional hours, university scheduled breaks, and holidays
• Consistent attendance and punctuality is imperative.
