The San Diego Convention Center is located on sparkling San Diego Bay in the heart of a vibrant downtown. Abundant, flexible space and five-star service make the San Diego Convention Center the meeting planner's choice for hosting major conventions, trade shows, meetings and special events. The San Diego Convention Center has 2.6 million sq. ft. to include 72 meeting/banquet rooms, eight exhibit halls, two ballrooms and a special events area - the Sails Pavilion, 138-seat capacity onsite restaurant and 36-seat bar, 8 concession stands in exhibit halls, 2 full-service kitchens, portable specialty services and 3 Starbucks lobby operations. Some of the many types of events offered at the San Diego Convention Center include the annual Comic Con and ESRI shows, full service plated dinners and buffet & reception events.

We are currently seeking Concession Manager at the San Diego Convention Center.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for ensuring that guests receive an exceptional level of service by supervising Quick Serve staff and supporting the Quick Serve operations at all points of sale.
• Assign tasks and delegate responsibilities to Quick Serve Leads and will monitor servers as they provide a variety of pre-made or fresh-to-order snacks, beverages and entrée items from Sodexo’s Quick Serve menu.
• Ensure that the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years supervisory experience in a fast-paced foodservice facility preferred.
• Ability to understand written and oral direction and to communicate same with others.
• Ability to work independently and in a high stress, fast paced environment.

Other requirements:

• Must be able to work in extremes of cold to heat.
• Must be able to exert well-paced mobility to maneuver quickly among different areas of the facility.

As a condition of employment, proof of COVID vaccination may be required (subject to limited exceptions).
