Senior Fund Accountant - Job Description
The Senior Fund Accountant is a critical member of the Finance team, responsible for providing financial leadership and support to the investment management business. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fund accounting principles and practices, as well as experience in financial reporting and auditing.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements for funds, including the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows
- Manage the fund accounting system and ensure that all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled
- Work with auditors to ensure that the fund's financial statements are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Provide financial analysis and advice to the investment management team
- Develop and implement new accounting policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Strong understanding of fund accounting principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
