Soccer Shots - Memphis is Hiring a Coaching coordinator Near Bartlett, TN

The Coaching Coordinator - Training (CC-T) for Soccer Shots is an individual who represents Soccer Shots to all of our coaches, promoting the company and its CORE values to all of the staff.

The CC-T will be responsible for the training of all new hires, as well as maintaining their coaching levels once they become Level 1 Coaches for Soccer Shots.

The CC-T is a full time role, designed for someone who has the ability to provide constructive criticism to coaches while they develop, and create a culture of feedback that promotes trust and understanding amongst all employees as they grow.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Monitoring Trainee’s Progression through the Apprenticeship Square
  • When new coaches have been assigned training schedules, the responsibility of their training progresses over to the CC-T.
  • The CC-T will be responsible for checking in with all new coaches multiple times a week to ensure the trainees are progressing through the apprenticeship square as well as checking in with lead coaches to ensure quality throughout training.
  • 1-1 Training Sessions
  • When a new employee gets hired, there will be multiple 1-1 sessions that the CC-T is responsible for scheduling and conducting.

These will include, but are not limited to :

  • New Hire Training Day. During a new hire’s first week,
  • Before a Level 1 Evaluation
  • During the season for ongoing training.
  • Training Evaluation
  • The CC-T will be responsible for conducting the Training Evaluation on all new hires. These evaluations will determine whether or not the trainee has completed the apprenticeship and is qualified to run classes solo.
  • If a trainee does not pass their training evaluation, it is the CC-T’s responsibility to create a training plan that will set the trainee’s up for success on their second training evaluation.
  • Level 1 Evaluations
  • Every employee at Soccer Shots Memphis that coaches at least one class is entitled, and required, to have at least one evaluation conducted per season.

The Leadership is responsible for ensuring all evaluations are completed, however, Coaches who are still a Level 1 Coach may have their evaluations performed by the CC-T.

  • Coaching Phone
  • The Coaching phone number is the FIRST call a coach should make in the event of a Soccer Shots Emergency’. A Soccer Shots Emergency’ can be, but is not limited to the following situations :
  • Unexpected sickness the morning of class
  • Travel delays (accident, car trouble, etc)
  • Attendance sheet access issue
  • Essentially any situation that would impact a coach’s ability to run their class on time and in an effective manner.
  • It is the Coaching Department’s responsibility to maintain this phone, keeping it charged, answering any calls that come in (including Saturdays), and then involving any Directors (DOO, DOPS, Executive Director) for any issues that are called in that they couldn't solve on their own.
  • Configio / G-Cal Responsibilities
  • Below are some of the responsibilities that the CC-T will have on Configio / G-Cal :
  • When answering a Coaching phone call that requires the cancellation of classes, the CC-T needs to have the knowledge and ability to cancel the product in Configio and send text message notifications to the enrolled parents.

CC-T(s) are NOT responsible for sending out makeup information, nor are they responsible for cancelling or adjusting shifts in G-Cal.

  • When coaching coverage events are created by the DOO in G-Cal, it is the Coaching Coordinators responsibility to ensure that they are assigned to the appropriate coach’s schedule, ensuring coach is aware too.
  • CC-T(s) are responsible for assigning Configio Attendance Sheets to coaches.
  • Transitioning Coaches to New Locations
  • Whenever a new season begins and a location is getting a new coach, the CC-Ts are responsible for helping transition the coach to the new location.

This includes introducing the coach to the directors, assisting the coach in setting up Soccer Island at the designated location, as well as potentially assisting the coach with their first day of classes at that location

  • CC-T(s) are also responsible for ensuring that new coaches are adequately transitioned to their new locations during the season as well.
  • General Administrative Duties
  • The CC-T is expected to be in the office during any hours during the workday that they are not coaching, training, or evaluating.

Additional duties that they may have may include :

  • Delivering season flyers & final reminders.
  • Departmental Level 10 Meetings.
  • Weekly Coaching 1on1s.
  • Assisting with interviewing & onboarding.
  • Assisting with Flyer Tables at locaitons during season start weeks.
