Summary

Assists in the set-up, execution and breakdown of all on-site and off-site promotions and special events : to include but not limited to, gifting, tournaments, drawings, VIP parties, and festivals.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Works within a team to ensure that all items needed to carry out the promotion and / or special event are in the appropriate place in a timely manner.
• Reviews upcoming events and activities to keep guests informed.
• Setting up necessary equipment and signage prior to promotions / events, and breaking down when finished.
• Maintaining events equipment such as signage in an organized manner.
• Implementation of all promotions and special events.
• Apply positive communication and interpersonal skills with guest and coworkers.
• Ability to deal effectively with all staff members exercising tact, diplomacy and patience at all time.
• Responsible for establishing an excellent relationship with guests.
• Assists with the Soboba Rewards Player Tracking System to look up and verify qualification and for gift redemption.
• Maintains excellent grooming and personal conduct according to Soboba Casino Resort Standards.
• Other duties as may be assigned from time-to-time.

• Serve as a contributing Team Member of the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians enhancing the Casino’s operations in all its business endeavors.

Education / Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age, or older.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Read, write and speak English.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.

Certificates, licenses and registration

• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
• Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and / or alcohol testing.
• Certified with manual pallet jack and electric pallet jack. Certification training for manual and electric pallet jack will be conducted upon hire.
