Sobo & Sobo, LLP is Hiring a Payroll Specialist Near Middletown, NY

Growing and prestigious law firm seeks organized, motivated candidates who will play a key role in HR functions with an emphasis on payroll, including timecards and time and attendance.

Duties include overseeing the benefits, insurance, and general HR Support.

Payroll duties include:

  • Managing and processing payroll using Paychex Flex
  • Time and attendance keeping
  • Monitoring missed punches and obtaining punch information
  • Distributing pay electronically
  • Adjusting salaries and wages for PTO
  • Advise HR of unauthorized or excessive overtime hours
  • Managing and overseeing employee PTO and Sick Time
  • General HR Support
  • Managing and tracking leaves including STD, FMLA and PFL
  • Audits
  • Benefit management including 401K and Aflac
  • Workers Compensation Management
  • Conduct and assist with team meetings
  • Provide general support to HR director
  • Help uphold firm standards and enforcement

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in Timekeeping and Attendance Keeping
  • 2 years of experience in HR
  • Excellent organizational & time management skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, stressful environment
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Strong technical skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.50 per hour
