Soave Real Estate Group is Hiring a Community Development Support Specialist Near Brambleton, VA

Brambleton is looking to fill the position for a full-time Community Development Support Specialist in Brambleton, VA. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to work hours that include weekdays, evening and weekends, when needed.
The Community Development Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the successful transition of new communities from the Land Development team, turnover/bond release, to the Homeowner’s Association for future maintenance and control. They will work collaboratively with the development team, owners, and HOA staff.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure that the vision and theme of the community are upheld during the development process.
  • Routinely walk the community grounds and inform management/land development of any hazardous conditions.
  • Collaborate to ensure project needs are met and to facilitate smooth transitions.
  • Proactively interact with members of the internal project team to ensure compliance with project schedule and budget. Provide support for sourcing vendors and materials.
  • Respond to all inquiries promptly and professionally. Gather information and facilitate appropriate responses or escalation.
  • Perform inspections and coordinate services to ensure community appearance is up to established standards, including entry features and landscaping, common area landscaping, vacant lots, etc.
  • Monitor schedules and completion of projects, organize and facilitate various hand off meetings and follow up on outstanding items.
  • As needed, participate in meetings with members of the external team of engineers, architects, other consultants, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • As needed, respond to stakeholder requests, facilitate appropriate responses and/or escalations.
  • Assist in the oversight of the daily project activities of the third-party construction manager on-site team and trade subcontractors.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on project status.
  • Understand and apply risk management principles.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for record keeping, future planning, and budgeting.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualification Job Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years prior experience in residential development/construction and customer service is required. Some risk management experience preferred.
  • Availability for working hours to include weekdays, evenings, and weekend hours.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and the ability to learn and utilize other business software and/or applications.
  • Excellent communication and business writing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive and deadline-driven, ability to prioritize and to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
Physical Requirements
  • Sitting, standing, walking, typing, cleaning, driving.
  • Constant use of manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
  • Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

  • Valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and use of personal vehicle are required to perform essential functions.
