Job Summary: Under the direction of the Building Administrator and Classroom Teacher, is responsible for supporting the elementary educationa process. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job descriptions.
Salary Range:
Per the 2023-24 Public School Employees Salary Schedule:

• $23.70 - $27.00/hour (Paraeducator A) - General Elementary
• $25.03 - $28.48/hour (Paraeducator B) - MLL students

Above pay rates do not include holiday and pay in lieu of vacation, which increases the hourly compensation.
Work Year: 5.75 hours/day Monday through Thursday, 9:15 am to 3:30 pm, and 5.0 hours//day on Friday, 8:20 a.m. to 1:50 p.m.

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one (1) of the following:
  • Have received a qualifying score on the Education Testing Service (ETS) paraeducator assessment (https://www.ets.org/parapro)

  • Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university

  • Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university
• Upon hire, must complete the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS)-Paraeducator Certificate.
• Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.
