Line Cook – Mountain Creek

Location: Vernon, NJ Reporting to: Executive Chef

About Mountain Creek:

Mountain Creek, a four-season resort, offering skiing/snowboarding, bike park, waterpark, weddings, mountain coaster, restaurants, and lodge.

How the Line Cook works with the Team:

Preparation of food to specified recipes and standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

Team Member Responsibilities:

  • Consistently prepare our food according to recipes and station guides.
  • Handle, store and serve food in a safe manner following all Mountain Creek and Health Department safety procedures.
  • Prepare food to order accurately as per order tickets.
  • Handle, store and serve food in a safe manner following all Mountain Creek and Health Department safety procedures
  • Able to use standard kitchen equipment without assistance.
  • Cross train and fill in for other roles as needed
  • Complete written or verbal prep lists as directed by management within allotted timeframe.
  • Consistently set up, maintain and break down workstations expertly and efficiently
  • Understand and follow plate presentation guidelines
  • Rotate products on a first in first out basis
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor

Team Member Qualifications:

  • Must be able to follow recipes and communicate with Supervisor and team members
  • 1-2 years of experience cooking in a restaurant setting
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be 16 or older
