Snake River Veterinary Center is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our growing team!
Our mixed animal practice is well equipped with an in-house diagnostic laboratory, ultrasound, digital and dental x-ray, and laser therapy.
We are seeking a positive, energetic team member that will provide compassionate patient and client care in our hospital. Our ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, thorough, work well with others, maintain professionalism in high-stress situations, and possess great communication skills (our hospital strives to maintain a healthy work environment through direct and thorough communication practices between team members).
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
-Assisting doctors in exam rooms and with treatments
-Providing client education
-Anesthetic monitoring
-Catheter placement, blood draws, etc.
-Running lab diagnostics
-Taking x-rays
-Performing dental prophylaxis (including taking dental radiographs)
-Updating patient records
-Refilling prescriptions
-Cleaning and sterilizing equipment as needed
-Experience with large animals is preferred- but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
