Role Description:

In the role of Virtualization Systems Engineer III, you will be part of robust team that displays Safety Nationals Core Values: Relationships, Integrity, Teamwork, Balance and Stability. You will work closely with the Manager, Core Infrastructure and his Infrastructure team that will design, develop and implement both on premise and cloud virtualization solutions with scalability, reliability, maintainability as the core. Your contributions of cloud virtualization solutions will be felt throughout Safety National.

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Virtualization Systems Engineer III will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of virtualized infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating and managing virtual environments to support production, development on premise and cloud environments. You may also be assigned various projects like, establishing and implementing internal systems, procedures, and best practices that other teams can apply to increase productivity. You will ensure the solutions are built for success in cloud deployment, security, cost-effectiveness, and high availability.

The ideal candidate is someone who can develop infrastructure as code to build and maintain enterprise cloud environments and someone with experience with infrastructure as Code. Some of the essentials skills required of you in this role are, working alongside cross-functional teams to support projects related to virtualization. Managing projects to ensure timelines and deliverables are met and meet expectations. Advising/recommending project activities as related to Security/System/Architectural direction and strategy. Qualifications:

Education:

• A Bachelor’s degree in IT related field, preferred.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience with each major technology managed by a team
• Develop Infrastructure as code to build and maintain enterprise cloud environments
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Familiar with DevOps practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Skilled in coaching, mentorship and giving feedback to teammates

In our vision to be First with Co-Workers, compensation is only one piece of the comprehensive total rewards package we offer. The target salary range for this position is $107,000 - $171,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
