Job Description

John Crane Diamond, a growing business unit within John Crane Inc., manufactures diamond thin-film solutions via chemical vapor deposition for a wide range of products, applications, and customers. The company is currently hiring an operator to support the growing demands.

The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated and able to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment. Our Operators are cross trained to provide them with a diverse skill set that is used across multiple product lines.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Follow detailed work instructions & processes to insure high quality product
  • Accurate quality data entry and attention to detail
  • Maintain an organized and clean work environment
  • Become proficient in all operator roles
  • Manage daily assigned tasks to assure completion each shift
  • Meet or exceed goals and contribute to improving overall company metrics
  • Become an active member of our manufacturing team helping to drive continuous improvement
  • Gain full working knowledge of an intricate set of production tools (metrology, CVD reactors, lab equipment, etc.)
  • Maintain a clean and Safe work Environment

The Individual

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of work experience
  • Ability to work independently & be accountable
  • Organized and process oriented
  • Basic math & computer capabilities
  • Problem solving skills
  • Mechanical inclination
  • Cleanroom or lab experience preferred
  • Chemical handling experience preferred
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Adhere to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements including safety shoes and safety glasses.
