Responsibilities:

As a Dental Assistant in our clinic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice and enhancing the patient experience. Your responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

• Assisting our skilled orthodontists and periodontists during various dental procedures.
• Sterilizing and maintaining dental instruments and equipment to uphold the highest standards of infection control.
• Taking and developing dental X-rays, scans and dental impressions.
• Preparing treatment rooms and patients for procedures.
• Providing exceptional patient care
• Communicating efficiently and effectively with patients and colleagues
• Educating patients about proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Performing administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, billing and insurance procedures, and participate in activities and events to promote the practice.
• Be open to learning using new software and dental equipment.
• Adhering by local, State, and Federal compliance standards

Qualifications:

• Dental Assistant certification from an accredited program.
• X-ray certification in accordance with the State of Texas regulations.
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques.
• Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with both patients and the dental team.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
• Proficiency in dental software and basic computer skills.
• Having an active CPR and/or BLS and X-Ray certifications.
• Having assistance experience with orthodontists and periodontists is a plus.
• Having administrative experience such as treatment/insurance coordinating is a plus.

Rate Range: $18-$25

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
